The leather is oiled Kodiak leather meant to withstand the elements and last a lifetime of adventures. The closure button is hand cast pewter. The journal insert is included. I have sewn the decorative trim using my old antique Scottish Singer sewing machine, but the trim stitching is all hand stitched.
