Our Celtic bracelet is inspired by the four provinces of our Emerald Isle. Munster, Leinster, Ulster and Connaught. There are four stones in the bracelet, each emblematic of the four corners of Ireland. The cabochon cut stone is carefully set in hallmarked sterling silver.

The province of Leinster:

Located in the east of Ireland Leinster is famed for black Kilkenny marble. Kilkenny is known as the ” marble city ” as this marble is used to decorate many fine buildings.  To represent the colour of the black marble we have taken Black Onyx which, due to its high sheen compliments the silver perfectly.

The province of Connaught:

Home to Ireland’s national gem, green Connemara marble. The Connemara region lies in County Galway. Connemara marble was formed in the pre Cambrian era , 900 million years ago. The mineral serpentine gives the marble its unique green colour. Once quarried each piece will hold its own distinctive colouration.

This is particularly significant to me as my family owns and operates the oldest working marble quarry, located in the village of Lissoughter, in the heart of Connemara.

The province of Ulster:

Encompasses the northern part of the Island of Ireland. In County Tyrone the white marble can be found. If you look at the stone, you can see that there are intrusions of greys in this marble. The howlite gemstone was the perfect choice to represent this part of the country and indeed gives the impression of a cloudy day in Ireland of which we have plenty!

The province of Munster:

Is the largest of the four provinces and occupies the southern part of Ireland.  Famed for its red marble that can be found not far from the town of Cobh, which is near Cork City. The red adventurine stone has a unique mix of red, pink and orange hues. They give you a feeling of warmth and comfort.

Our Sterling Silver is hallmarked at the Dublin Assay office which is located in Dublin Castle and adds an extra connection to Ireland.

With a closed length of 21.5 cm it can be adjusted down to a closed length of 17.5 cms and has a weight of 18.4 grams.
