Crane Pendant

The Crane is a powerful symbol in Celtic Art; it is associated with the supernatural world and the idea of regeneration. It is one of the creatures which frequently shape-change into human form. In this original design by Rhiannon, two of these enigmatic birds are disguised in a fine filigree knotwork pattern.

The crane is the sacred totem of St Columba and is revered and protected on the Isle of Iona.
